Crumbs Bake Shop, the national cupcake cafe based out of New York City, has closed its stores, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. The company operates two Boston locations—one in the financial district and one in the Prudential Center—as well as a third Massachusetts location in the Natick Mall, according to its website.

None of those locations are answering their phones. The Journal says all locations have been shut down as of Monday night.

Crumbs filed for an IPO in 2011 and even saw its stock price hit $13 per share. It moved into Boston shortly after the IPO. It operated stores in 11 states and Washington, DC according to its website.

While Quartz ponders whether the fall of Crumbs is a sign of America moving past its peak cupcake phase, there are still plenty of options here in Boston—including Sweet, with three Boston locations and one in Harvard Square, South Shore-based Wicked Good Cupcakes in Faneuil Hall, and Kickass Cupcakes in Somerville.
