Fresh Clashes in Islamabad as Pressure Mounts on PM to Resign

Violence that broke out during anti-government protests in Pakistan over the weekend continued on Monday. Demonstrators carrying sticks and rocks clashed with police again as they tried to force their way into the prime minister's residence. Police responded by firing tear gas at the crowd. Protesters demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's resignation have been holding mostly peaceful demonstrations for weeks.
