Starting on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, TNT Vacations of Boston is launching once-a-week $1,000 round-trip service from Logan to Barbados, which includes 7 nights in any of 20 hotels. Flights, on spiffed-up Boeing 737-800s with all leather seats, leave Boston Sundays at 8 a.m. and arrive in Barbados at 1:40 p.m. The flight home on Sunday leaves Barbados at 2:55 p.m., arriving at Logan at 7:07 p.m. They'll run through April 23. and are to resume next winter, TNT says. Starting Tuesday and running through the pre-Christmas season, Continental Airlines will be offering a free $600-value gift bag to first-class travelers flying through its Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey to four West Coast destinations: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. The goodie bags, designed by Premier Bags Inc. of New York, include a gift certificate for Zero Gravity, a company that lets you experience astronaut-style weightlessness while flying in a modified Boeing 727; Prada perfume; a $25 credit at The Sharper Image; and other treats including tea, chocolates, and Louis L'Amour adventure novels. |
