Wegmans. Ah, Wegmans. It has been quite a few years since I last lived near a Wegmans and now there's one right here in Northborough.

If you have never been to a Wegmans - it's a bit more than a supermarket - it might be hard to understand the fuss. Hundreds of people lined up outside in the pre-dawn chill, me included.

While it was fun to be there at the opening, it was a really poor time to go shopping. Too many people. Too jammed up inside. Much of the fun of the Wegmans experience was lost.

While the store also has good prices on many items, don't assume everything there is discounted to your local market. Like any major shopping you're going to do - if you care about how much you spend - know how much you should be paying.
