More than 1.7 million Tassimo and Bosch single-cup coffee makers sold in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled after 140 incidents - including 37 people suffering second-degree burns, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced today.

In addition, Kraft is recalling 4 million Tassimo espresso T Discs sold under the Gevalia, Maxwell House and Nabob brands after 21 reports of hot liquid or grounds spraying from them. At least four of those cases involved victims suffering second-degree burns, the CPSC said.

The recalled T Discs have codes that end with 11213 through 12020. You can find the code on both the foil lid of the T Discs and on the sides of the packages.

The brewers are distributed by BSH Home Appliances Corp., the U.S. division of the German company Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances. They were made in China and Slovenia. The recalled brewers either have Bosch or Tassimo Professional on their nameplates. Only the professional model of Tassimo branded brewers is included in this recall.

The recalled machines were sold between June 2008 and this month for $100-$250.

If you have one of the recalled machines, you're asked to stop using it until you receive replacement T Disc holder. For more information, visit the company's recall page or call Tassimo at (866) 918-8763 weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Time or between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

The recalled espresso discs were sold between August 2011 and this month. If you have the discs, you're asked to stop using them and use the contact information above to get a full refund.
