Anticipate clothing needs

During the ride, wear comfortable clothes made from fabrics that are designed to stay dry, says the League of American Bicyclists.

Plan to leave work attire at your office to change into when you arrive. You can also carry your clothing to work inside a backpack (roll items to prevent wrinkles) or a bag that mounts on your bike called a pannier.

And, obviously, wear a helmet.
