RICHMOND, Va.—Virginia Department of Taxation has revamped its website.
The state agency says that the new site is designed to give taxpayers a quicker and easier path to the information they need.
The major overhaul of the website was largely in response to comments and suggestions received from taxpayers, who are using the site more than ever.
Officials say that last year the site logged over 9 million electronic transactions, including returns filed, payments made and businesses registered. That was an increase of nearly 10 percent over the previous year.
The site is located at http://www. tax.virginia.gov.
