What do I do with a 1099-G?

Q: Since I moved out of Massachusetts in 2002, I had reported income in that state during last year’s tax filing. But for the first time I received a 1099-G form from the Mass. Department of Revenue. What am I to do with this? --Greg, Chicago

The following answer was provided by Janis Orel, CPA.
