Is it safe to let the IRS reimburse electronically?
Q: Last year, I noticed on the back of the 1040 form, the IRS can reimburse tax refund money electronically as long as the bank routing number and bank account is mentioned. Is this too risky to put this information to IRS? Stefan, Westborough

A: I don't think so Stefan. I've been doing this personally for a few years and I have many clients who take advantage of it. I think it works well and I'm not aware of any compromises of the information.
