Do I file a Schedule C as a single member LLC?

Q: I have a single member LLC that operates a direct marketing business. Is my only option to file a Schedule C as a single member LLC? -- Matt, Winchester

The following answer was provided by Mark Misselbeck, CPA, Levine Katz Nannis & Solomon PC, Needham.

A: Yes, since a single member LLC is disregarded for tax purposes, you are considered to be operating the business in your own right. You should note that you are DBA the LLC on your Sch. C, with your return.
