A: You may claim a lifetime learning credit of 20% of tuition up to a maximum of $2,000 provided your AGI is less than $41,000 with a partial amount available until AGI exceeds $51,000 for single filers and $83,000 to $103,000 for joint filers. The tuition deduction is available up to $3,000 if your AGI is below $65,000 single and $130,000 joint.
