Are my home improvements tax deductible?
Q: I purchased a home in 2003 as my primary residence. I renovated a kitchen and a bathroom. Are any of the home improvements tax deductible? --Jeff, Greenwich, CT

A: No they may be added to your cost basis only for purposes of determining any gain on a future sale of the home.
