If you weren't eligible for last year's stimulus check, you may qualify for aid this year through the government's Recovery Rebate Credit. The credit is calculated the same way as last year, except that the benefit is based on your 2008 income.

You might qualify for the credit if you didn't receive a check last year or didn't receive the full amount, or if you had a child or can no longer be claimed as someone else's dependent.
