What can happen if you don't file your taxes?

Everyone has April 15 ingrained as "Tax Day" in their minds. This year, it falls on a Sunday, meaning taxpayers have until Tuesday, April 17, to file both their federal and state taxes this year. (Fun fact: April 16 is both Emancipation Day — a D.C. holiday — and the Bay State's Patriots Day.)
Peggy Riley, Internal Revenue Service spokeswoman, walked us through the steps the IRS will take if you miss the deadline - or worse, don't file at all.
