TECH TRANSITION: After working on the project for seven years, Oracle unveiled a new line-up of business software applications that will be distributed over the Internet. The concept, known as ‘‘cloud computing,’’ is a departure from Oracle’s traditional method of installing software programs on individual computers in offices.
