Syntel names Godbole finance chief

TROY, Mich. --Syntel Inc., an information technology services company, said Friday it made Arvind Godbole its chief financial officer and gave Chief Operating Officer Keshav Murugesh the additional title of president.

Godbole, 49, has been serving as acting finance chief since June, when Revathy Ashok stepped down.

Murugesh, 43, has been head of operations since October 2004.

Syntel also shuffled the leader of its sales unit for automotive, health care and diversified business, but did not give any reason for the move.

The company's shares rose 27 cents to $26.64 in early trading on the Nasdaq.
