McAfee taps DeWalt as CEO, president
SANTA CLARA, Calif. --McAfee Inc., maker of computer security software, on Monday named Dave DeWalt chief executive and president, effective April 2.
DeWalt, 42, will replace Dale Fuller, who was named interim CEO and president after George Samenuk retired in October, following the discovery of accounting problems requiring financial restatements.
Fuller will serve as an adviser to DeWalt and retain his position on the company's board.
McAfee said DeWalt, who was most recently president of customer operations at EMC Corp., is expected to be named to the board, as well.
Shares of McAfee fell 43 cents to close at $29.55 on the New York Stock Exchange.
