CSK Auto names Mondry president, CEO

PHOENIX, Ariz. --Auto parts and accessories retailer CSK Auto Corp. said Friday Lawrence N. Mondry will take over as president and chief executive in early July, succeeding Maynard Jenkins, who is retiring.

Mondry, 47, also will join the company's board. He most recently served as CEO of CompUSA Inc. from November 2003 to May 2006, and currently serves on the boards of Micron Technology Inc. and Golfsmith Inc.

The company also said Chief Financial Officer James B. Riley resigned to accept a position as CFO with Ormet, an aluminum production company in his home state of Ohio. His resignation will be effective at the end of June.

CSK Auto said it intends to identify an interim CFO in the near future and begin a search for Riley's replacement.

As of May 6, the company operated 1,334 stores in 22 states under the brand names Checker Auto Parts, Schuck's Auto Supply, Kragen Auto Parts and Murray's Discount Auto Stores.
