LANHAM, Md.—Satellite systems maker Integral Systems Inc. said Monday its fiscal second-quarter profit and sales soared amid strong performance across all of the company's segments.
Shares jumped more than 8 percent to a new 52-week high as a result.
For the quarter ended March 31, the company earned $4 million, or 44 cents per share, up 86 percent from a profit of $2.1 million, or 19 cents per share, in the same period a year earlier. The company had fewer outstanding shares in the latest quarter, which helped boost per-share earnings.
Revenue rose 55 percent to $44.9 million from $29 million.
Shares rose $2.58, or 8.2 percent, to $34.03 in midday trading, having earlier reached a new high of $34.97. In the past 52 weeks, the stock previously ranged between $20.84 and $32.60.![]()
