NEW YORK—Telecommunications equipment stocks, led by bellwether Cisco, headed mostly higher Thursday as the broader market advanced, with the rising value of the dollar and declining oil prices giving investors some reassurance ahead of Friday's jobs report.
How some key telecom equipment stocks performed Thursday:
Cisco Systems Inc. rose $1.03, or 4 percent, to $26.67.
Alcatel-Lucent's American Depositary Shares climbed 6 cents to $6.73.
Nortel Networks Corp., rose 16 cents to $8.70.
Juniper Networks Inc., rose $1, or 3.6 percent, to $28.62.![]()
