EDS schedules shareholder vote on HP bid

PLANO, Texas --Electronic Data Systems Corp. will hold a special meeting for shareholders to vote on Hewlett-Packard Corp.'s $13.2 billion bid for the technology services firm.

EDS scheduled the meeting July 31 at its Plano, Texas, headquarters.

HP, the world's largest technology company by revenue, offered $25 per share for EDS, whose board has approved the deal.
