Ikon expects flat revenue in 2008

MALVERN, Pa.—Ikon Office Solutions, which sells and supports digital copiers and printers, said Thursday it expects revenue to be flat in fiscal 2008.

That implies revenue of about $4.17 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial, on average, predict revenue of $4.18 billion.

The company predicts earnings of $1 to $1.05 for the year, while analysts expect a profit of 99 cents per share.

For the fourth quarter, Ikon expects a profit of 25 cents to 30 cents per share, excluding a restructuring charge of 4 cents per share and a loss on early extinguishment of debt in the third quarter of 3 cents per share.

Analysts expect a profit of 28 cents per share.
