WASHINGTON—Oracle Corp. spent nearly $1.3 million in the second quarter to lobby on patent reform, tax issues, trade measures and other issues, according to a recent disclosure form.

The software giant also lobbied on H-1B visas and immigration legislation that would give U.S companies access to more highly skilled foreign professionals.

Oracle also lobbied on identity theft and data privacy, and a bill that would make it illegal for U.S. companies hosting online content, such as Web pages or e-mail, to give users' personal information to governments that restrict Internet access.

Besides Congress, the Redwood Shores, Calif.-based company lobbied the Commerce Department, Federal Trade Commission, U.S. Trade Representative and other agencies, according to the disclosure form filed July 21 with the Senate clerk's office.
