NEW YORK—Shares of some top internet companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Akamai Technologies fell $.23 or 1.2 percent, to $19.41.

Amazon rose $1.16 or 1.5 percent, to $79.19.

eBay fell $.04 or .2 percent, to $23.77.

Google fell $6.01 or 1.3 percent, to $444.25.

Yahoo rose $.33 or 1.9 percent, to $18.08.
