Among the earnings projection stories for Tuesday, Jan. 6, from AP Financial News:

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Content management software maker Interwoven Inc. reaffirmed its fourth-quarter guidance Tuesday -- including earnings above expectations -- sending shares sharply higher in after-hours trading.

CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) -- Chip maker Microchip Technology Inc. said Tuesday it expects to report fiscal third-quarter sales declined 29 percent to 31 percent from the preceding period, missing Wall Street's expectations.

SEATTLE (AP) -- Technology company F5 Networks Inc. said Tuesday that revenue in its latest quarter fell below the company's forecast due to a late slump in North American sales and that adjusted earnings per share would be reported a penny lower than earlier guidance.

ATLANTA (AP) -- Global Payments Inc., which provides electronic transaction processing services, said Tuesday it now expects fiscal 2009 earnings of $2.14 to $2.21 per share, down from the outlook it gave last fall because of the effects of the strengthening dollar.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Shares of LSI Industries Inc. fell sharply Tuesday as the manufacturer of lighting and other products cut its fiscal 2009 revenue and profit guidance due to the weak economy.
