Non-competes and competitiveness. When state Representative Will Brownsberger filed a bill last week to make non-compete agreements illegal, several bloggers applauded. A growing number of Boston entrepreneurs and investors, including Angelo Santinelli, are making the case that non-competes, by restricting the movement of employees from one company to another, put shackles on fast-growing start-ups and make the state less competitive.
