Electronic Arts acquires KlickNation

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—Video game maker Electronic Arts Inc. said Thursday it acquired KlickNation, a company that develops free role-playing games played on social media platforms like Facebook.

KlickNation's games include SuperHero City, Age of Champions, and Six Gun Galaxy. Electronic Arts said KlickNation is now part of its BioWare business, and its name has changed to BioWare Sacramento. The companies did not disclose terms of the deal.

Shares of Electronic Arts picked up 14 cents to $23.32 in Thursday trading. The shares were unchanged aftermarket.
