Banned iPhone Apps
Apple Inc. has decided to remove an application that let users create novelty driver's licenses from its app store after Senator Bob Casey, a Pennsylvania Democrat, said it made making fake IDs too easy.
The app gave templates of all 50 states' licenses and allowed users to upload images and biographical information to be placed on one.
Apple has removed numerous apps from the App Store since it launched in mid-2008 for violating myriad restrictions it imposes on developers. Take a look at other notable apps that ran afoul of the company's screening process.
