The Penny Arcade Expo, or PAX, started out of a convention center in Bellevue, Wash., in 2004. Since then it has expanded out onto the East Coast with PAX East, which was predicted to become "the largest electronic gaming show in this countrys history, according to James E. Rooney, executive director of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
Over 60,000 attendees were expected at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for PAX East in March 2011. Also in attendance were many major video, card, and board game companies, including some local ones. Here are some scenes from the show.
