If you’ve ever seen falling puzzle blocks in your sleep, or owned a computer or cell phone, chances are you were a Tetris player. We can thank Russian computer programmer Alexey Pajitnov for developing the addictive game in the early 1980s, though it wasn’t until 1989 that Nintendo won the highly demanded rights to Tetris.
