Contrast ratio
This is one of those variables not to stress about. It isn't generally advertised because a contrast ratio is not a standard unit of measurement by any means. The only time this may come in handy is if you were to choose between two televisions from the same manufacturer, like two Panasonic options. In that case, look for the one with the biggest difference, but if you're deciding between the Panasonic and the Sony, don't bother with asking about the contrast ratio.
