Poland native Tomasz Czajka, who goes by the handle "tomek," was the defending TopCoder champion from 2003 and reclaimed the title this year in the Algorithm Competition. He will receive $40,000. Tomek’s most challenging system he’s played a role in developing is the natural language processing system at IBM Research.
