Analog completes $23 million acquisition

Chip maker Analog Devices Inc. of Norwood said today that it closed its $23 million acquisition of intellectual property from TTPCom Ltd. on Friday.

Under the deal, which was announced in May, Analog Devices purchased intellectual property, engineering resources and other assets related to TTPCom's modem software for use on its SoftFone baseband processors.

Digital Analog's SoftFone chipsets allows handsets to offer features like wireless Internet access.

Shares of Analog Devices fell 54 cents to $32.45 in trading on the New York Stock Exchange. (AP)
