Discount retailer A.J. Wright is turning over responsibility for creating its ad campaigns to Connelly Partners, a Boston advertising agency. Terms of the new deal, including the account's value and its duration, were not disclosed. The account's value has been reported at between $1 million and $3 million annually by industry trade magazine Adweek.
Connelly ousted incumbent The Link Agency of Providence from the account, and beat out six other bidders to win the work.
The deal comes after a review of the account conducted by Pile and Co., a Boston management consulting firm. A.J. Wright is a unit of Framingham-based TJX Cos.
