Boston company lights up the big screen

If they gave Oscars for lighting, Color Kinetics Inc. might have a shot.

The Boston company said today that its LED lighting technology plays a key role in "Deck the Halls," a new movie that stars Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick. The comedy casts them as dueling neighbors, with DeVito's character attempting to turn his house into an eye-popping holiday display.

According to Color Kinetics, the character's ambitions are realized when the house is transformed into a traffic-halting multimedia light show made possible by the company's LED technology.
