Microsoft Corp. and Boston software developer FullArmor Corp. said today that Microsoft has licensed a new product that FullArmor has created called the ADMX Migrator, which automatically converts existing computer and security policy settings from the Windows XP/2000 format to the new format being introduced with Windows Vista called ADMX.

Without this tool, organizations would have to manually rewrite their existing templates using the ADMX format, FullArmor said.

"Manually recreating ADM templates in the new ADMX format is a long, tedious, and costly process," FullArmor chief technology officer Danny Kim said in a statement. "ADMX Migrator automates the ADM conversion process."
