Verizon Communications Inc. said its FiOS TV service is now available to 7,000 households in Wellesley.

According to Verizon, FiOS TV offers a broad range of programming choices and superior picture quality to other TV options.

The company is installing an all-digital fiber network in parts of Massachusetts; its FiOS TV service is currently available in a number of communities, including Andover, Belmont, and Lexington, the company said.

Verizon said it is currently negotiating with 30 other Massachusetts communities to obtain additional franchises.
