Implant Sciences Corp., a Wakefield developer and manufacturer of national security products, said today its second-quarter sales included the shipment of 44 handheld explosive detectors.
That's an increase over the past several quarters, chief executive Anthony J. Armini noted in a statement.
"It is our expectation that the demand for our trace detection equipment in calendar 2007 should continue to increase," he said.
The company has developed and commercialized portable and bench-top devices to identify explosives that are distributed under the Quantum Sniffer brand name.
