Fanning hired at Mass. Mutual

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. of Springfield said today it has appointed Michael R. Fanning as senior vice president and chief operating officer of its US Insurance Group.

The group includes the distribution, marketing, product management, finance, compliance, and operations for all of MassMutual's life insurance, disability income and long-term care products sold in the United States.

Previously, Fanning was a vice president at MetLife, MassMutual said.
