Aspen Technology Inc., a Cambridge provider of software and services that help companies improve their efficiencies, said that Essar Oil of India has signed a licensing agreement to use Aspen solutions to support its new refinery operations on India's west coast.
The solutions will provide Essar managers with real-time production data from the plant, giving them the ability to monitor and track refinery performance, Aspen said.
"This agreement with Essar represents a significant first step in establishing a strong, mutually beneficial relationship between our companies," Blair Wheeler, a senior vice president of Aspen Technology, said in a statement.
