Kerry Purcell promoted at Boston Herald

Kerry Purcell has been named director of content development for Herald Interactive, Boston Herald president and publisher Patrick J. Purcell said in a statement.
In this newly created position, Kerry Purcell will serve as the newsroom liaison to bostonherald.com for the features and sports departments, the Herald said.
"I'm very proud of the ink in Kerry's blood," said Patrick Purcell, who is also Kerry Purcell's father.
Kerry Purcell joined the Herald in 2003 and a year later moved to the features department, where she covered beauty, fashion, and night life; earlier this years, she started a weekly column titled "Meet," featuring emerging local bands, the Herald's statement said.
