Momenta promotes Bishop

Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Cambridge biotechnology company specializing in the sequencing and the engineering of complex sugars for drug development, said it has promoted John E. Bishop to senior vice president of pharmaceutical sciences.
Momenta is working on a product candidate called M-Enoxaparin, a "technology-enabled" generic version of Lovenox, a blood thinner that prevents blood clots and heart problems.
"John has been a valuable member of our executive team through his leadership of our manufacturing program for key products in the pipeline," Momenta president and chief executive Craig Wheeler said in a statement. "In particular, he has been instrumental in advancing the analytic and process development work for M-Enoxaparin."
