Defense contractor Raytheon Co. said Thursday it got a $12.5 million contract modification from the Naval Sea Systems Command to repair and provide maintenance services on heavyweight torpedoes.
The pact, granted to Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems unit, will provide technical engineering, repair and maintenance services for the MK48 advanced capability heavyweight torpedo. It exercises a one-year option included in the original contract awarded in April 2006.
Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Yorktown, Va. and Poulsbo, Wash. (AP)
