Caritas Christi, a New England health care system controlled by the Archdiocese of Boston, said that Thomas K. Sager will be the new president of its Caritas Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center in Methuen.

Sager will begin his tenure in late January, Caritas Christi said.

Sager comes to Holy Family from Zurick Davis, an executive search firm where he recruited hospital executives, Caritas Christi said. Sager has also served as chief executive of Hale Hospital and of Exeter Health Resources, a small health-care system in New Hampshire.
