Marlborough drug-maker Sepracor Inc. said today it has published the results of its PhaseIIIB/IV test for its insomnia drug Lunesta.
Many of the women in the test were just entering menopause, and according to Sepracor, patients treated with Lunesta demonstrated statistically significant improvement compared with those who had been given a placebo.
Women who become menopausal sometimes experience symptoms of insomnia, Sepracor said.
Results of the tests were published in the December issue of the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the company said.
