State Street elects three Europeans to board

State Street Corp., a Boston provider of financial services to institutional investors, said today it has elected three Europeans to its board of directors as a way to "align with the company's global growth strategy."

The three are Peter Coym, retired head of Lehman Brothers Bankhaus AG; Amelia Fawcett, former vice chair of Morgan Stanley International; and Maureen Miskovic, chair of Eurasia Group.

"As we continue to expand our business internationally we are evolving the composition of our board to reflect a globally diverse range of experience and market knowledge as well as significant expertise in the financial services industry," State Street chairman and chief executive Ronald E. Logue said in a statement.

In addition, State Street announced the appointment of three senior leaders to vice chairmen - Joseph L. (Jay) Hooley, global head of investment servicing and investment research and trading; William W. Hunt, president and chief executive of State Street Global Advisors; and Joseph C. Antonellis, chief information officer.
