Bruker wins contract to supply Czech army
Bruker Daltonics Inc. won a $4 million contract to supply chemical-agent and radiation detectors for wheeled armored vehicles for the Czech army.
Bruker Daltonics' parent company is Bruker BioSciences Corp. of Billerica, which designs and manufactures life-science systems based on spectrometry technology platforms as well as research tools using X-ray technology.
Bruker Daltonics, which also provides field analytical systems for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear detection, said today that the contract for its Raid-XP man-portable chemical agent and radiation detector is from Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeug GmbH, an Austrian defense contractor that produces wheeled and tracked vehicles.
The Bruker Raid-XP instruments will be integrated into Steyr's Pandur wheeled armored vehicles and are designed for the protection of crew members against chemical agents and radiation, Bruker Daltonics said.
