Chyten Educational Services is planning to offer franchising opportunities.

The Lexington firm, which focuses on tutoring and test preparation, said today it is partnering with Minuteman Press of New York, a franchiser in the print industry, to build a national franchise opportunity program for private education services.

In a statement, the two companies cited research from Goldman Sachs, the investment bank, which estimates that the market for tutoring and other educational services aimed at children below college age is a $4 billion to $5 billion industry.

Joining forces combines the strength of both companies and lets Chyten outsource franchise sales so it can focus on what it does best - training franchisees and tutors and developing course work, a Chyten spokeswoman said.
