Cognos acquires Celequest

Cognos Inc. said today that it has purchased Celequest Corp., a provider of operational business intelligence solutions.

Cognos is based in Burlington and Ottawa, Canada.

Financial terms of the deal for the Redwood City, Calif.-based company, were not disclosed.

"Celequest's operational dashboards are immediately interoperable with Cognos 8 BI, delivering a more complete view of enterprise information for better overall performance management," Cognos Chief Strategy Officer Rob Rose said in a statement. (AP)
