The chief lobbyist for the Massachusetts Hospital Association, Robert E. Gibbons , has been named interim president while the association seeks to replace Ronald M. Hollander , who was forced to resign by the association's board on Thursday after 11 years in the top job. Board members voted unanimously to remove Hollander, after expressing dissatisfaction about his perceived lack of effectiveness, according to board members who participated in the vote. Gibbons is not seeking the job on a permanent basis, according to an association press release. Terms of Hollander's departure, including the size of his severance package, had not been resolved yesterday, said association spokesman Paul Wingle.
